Vacation Day .25

This isn't really Day One. I planned to leave on Friday, but things went pretty smooth. I even remembered to stop and vote before I left town. I rolled out about 5:30 pm and made it as far as Terre Haute, Indiana. The location was great, giving me an opportunity to meet up with my high school pal, Leah. We haven't seen each other in 20+ years but were lucky enough to get back in touch via Facebook. Can't wait!! Heading for a shower and a good night's sleep. Lot's of back roads to St Louis tomorrow!!!

Welcome!!!

Welcome!! This blog is to share my vacation with my friends and family, and to encourage others to get off the highway and take a trail once in a while. There are about 47,000 miles of interstate highway in the U. S.. But there are literally millions of miles of U. S. routes, state roads, and two-lanes with sites equal to, or more truthfully, beyond the imagination of the interstate traveler. Take a few minutes to enjoy Postcards From The Trail, and I will do my best to bring those sites to you!!
